BONJ Traveled to Italy for concerts in Venice and Padua

BONJ musicians traveled to Italy for the winter holidays to end 2017.   They were greeted with enthusiastic full house audiences.

Performing were Maestro Robert W. Butts, pianist Paul Zeigler, soprano Dominika Zamara, tenor Kevin Peters, violinist Agnes Kwasniewska, flutist Laura Ferraro, oboist Nancy Vanderslice, and bassoonist Andrew Pecota.   Traveling with the musicians were Larry Stern, Judith Tiernan, and Kristine Peters.

On December 27, musicians performed at Palazzo Cavagnis in Venice.   The evening was devoted to compositions of Maestro Butts - including Three Browning Songs, performed by Paul Zeigler and Kevin Peters; Five Course Dinner for Three, performed by Laura Ferraro, Nancy Vanderslice, and Andrew Pecota, and five songs from La serva di Padova (lyrices by Vincenzo Faggiano) performed by Paul Zeigler, Dominika Zamara, and Kevin Peters.

On December 28, the musicians took the vaporetto to the train to Padua for a performance at Palazzo Zacco-Armeni.   The program included Three Browning Songs performed by Paul Zeigler and Kevin Peters, Deux mazourkas caractersitques: Obertass & Le Menetrier op.19 performed by Agnes Kwasniewska and Paul Zeigler, Tre Canzoni di Amore by Maestro Butts performed by Laura Ferraro and Andrew Pecota, Sonata in Eb by Johann Joachim Quantz, and two songs from La Serva di Padova.

On December 29, the musicians performed at the Scola dell'Angelo Custode, Lutheran Church, in Venice.   The program included Tafelmusic TWV:G2 by Georg Phillipp Telemann, Five Course Dinner for Three by Maestro Butts, Trio in D major Op. 45 by Guiseppe Maria Cambini, Sonata in Eb by Johann Joachim Quantz, and Chamber Concerto in g minor by Antonio Vivaldi.   Performing at this concert finale were violinist Agnes Kwasniewska, flutist Laura Ferraro, oboist Nancy Vanderslice, and bassoonist Andrew Pecota.

It was a great and unforgettable experience for all.  We have already been invited for return engagements which everybody is greatly excited about.
